Hurling Hero: Brian Corcoran

This Kanturk club man made his debut playing hurling for Cork back in 2005 at U14 level.  Since then, he has emerged to be one of the county’s most promising talents, recognised with two awards last year, the 96/103FM Cork Sports Person of the Year and the Junior Munster Footballer of the Year.

From the half forward line, Aidan has claimed Minor Munster titles in both hurling (2008) and football (2009) as well as an All-Ireland football title at U-21 level (2009) and a Senior Munster title in football (2009).   He counts the 2008 Minor Munster title win in 2008 as his favourite hurling moment, when Cork beat a strong and fancied Tipperary side in front of a massive opposition support to claim the provincial title.
